About the Simisola
I’ve always loved stories. As a little girl of eight, with limited access to television and electricity, I created countless stories in my head, had endless daydreams and read as many novels as I could get my hands on. Interestingly, I still daydream when I’m finding it difficult to sleep.
I first began sharing my stories online in 2016. Life moved on. I moved cities, started a career, became a wife and mum, and in many ways changed. Some of the ways I saw the world changed too. But the stories never left.
So, years later, I’m beginning again.
The Simisola is a home for fiction, conversations and reflections about love, faith, life and becoming. Some stories will be romantic. Some will explore family, friendship, living abroad, difficult choices, second chances and the everyday experiences that shape us.
Faith is foundational to how I see the world and naturally finds its ways into much of what I write. Above all, though, I want this to be a place for honest stories about people: imperfect, hopeful, growing, complicated people trying to make sense of life.
Some things here will make you smile. Some might make you think. And every now and then, I hope you find a story that feels strangely familiar.
Welcome to The Simisola. I’m glad you found your way here.
